9
week scan. Our very tiny baby was only 22.1 mm long!
13
week scan. Our little treasure was now an impressive 5.8cm long.
20
week scan. We forgot to find out what sex our baby is! But all is well.

Then
the day of reckoning arrived! A problem free, although blasphemous waterbirth
later and Oscar was born.
24th
October 2001, 12.01pm, weighing a healthy 9lbs and 1/2 oz our little
miracle was finally here.
Although
not too sure at first, Oscar soon opened his eyes and had a good look
at his mum!!
This
was our lovely midwife Sharon's first waterbirth and she later said
that she had really enjoyed it!
The
second midwife Ann was brilliant and experienced in waterbirth. She
helped us all stay sane!
Oscar
waited very patiently for nearly four hours afterwards whilst Melanie
received medical attention. |

The
following day we arrived home and Oscar immediately took to his moses
basket.
2
days in and Oscar was still quite puffy and jaundiced, but feeding well
and already gaining weight.
Oscar
aged 11 days old. His car seat was now in regular use as a method of
getting him off to sleep!
Still
at 11 days old and Oscar meets his big Nana for the first time...
...and
his Auntie Vicki.
He
is always happy to have a cuddle on anyone's lap!
Oscar
aged 3 weeks and his hormones started to kick in leaving him quite spotty!
This
gorgeous outfit was bought for Oscar by Kristian and Mirella.
